We recommend installing the app from the App Store or Google Play — that way you also get automatic updates.
If an update doesn't reach you via Play (e.g. a phone without Google Play, or the app gets stuck on an old version and won't open), you can download the latest Android version and install it manually right here.
The app updates over the existing install — removing it is usually not needed
This file is signed with the same key as the version installed from Play, so it installs over the existing app as an update — your login and data are kept. If the install still fails ("App not installed"), download the file again and check free storage; as a last resort remove the old app — that doesn't delete your data, everything is on the server and comes back when you log in.
Going back to Google Play updates
Since the signature is the same, Google Play usually takes over updates again from the next version published on Play. If you want to switch back to the Play version right away, remove this version from your phone and reinstall the app from Google Play. Removing it doesn't delete your data — everything is on the server and comes back when you log in.
